Appointment

Any visit to the kennel, whether a first visit or a pick-up (arrival or departure of a dog), is by appointment only.

We are available from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., 7 days a week. To ensure as much as possible that you get your desired appointment time, please request it at least 24 hours in advance. If an appointment is requested on the same day, the desired time slot may no longer be available. We therefore ask you to remain flexible. We will do everything in our power to satisfy you.

The only factor that allows us to be flexible is punctuality. We ask that you respect your appointment time and notify us if you are late. In the event of an extreme delay, your appointment may be rescheduled for the next available time slot.

In case of severe weather conditions, please allow additional time to arrive at your destination. We also want you and your dog to be safe, so you can bring your dog the day before when a weather alert is issued.

We highly recommend bringing your dog the day before a flight to avoid any last minute issues.

FIRST TIME AT THE KENNEL?

For any new client, an evaluation process is necessary. We must first make an appointment with your dog at the kennel. During this same appointment, if you are satisfied with our facilities and we think your dog could adapt to the kennel, you can leave your dog with us for 24 hours. This will allow your dog to get comfortable and get used to his new environment. During this 24 hour trial, you must not be on vacation, in case we ask you to pick up your dog due to non-compatibility. Please note that your stay is not guaranteed until the assessment has been completed and found to be satisfactory. We do not guarantee the availability of your stay until the evaluation is completed. During peak seasons, such as summer and Christmas, we recommend starting the trial procedure at least two months in advance.

***The kennel parking lot is located 50 meters south of our house (red house). There is a large sign along the road that leads you to a small gravel path. Please do not drive directly to the kennel building, you can leave the car parked in the parking lot.

***If you arrive early, please wait until your appointment time, unless otherwise advised by our attendant or the owner.

SECURITY

Our safety, as well as that of our staff and residents, is a priority. If at any time we believe a dog is threatening our safety or disrupting the kennel environment, we reserve the right to send them home or refuse them access to the kennel.

PERSON TO CONTACT IN CASE OF EMERGENCY

We require an emergency contact person for each stay. Please ensure this person is able to collect the dog on the same day of the call, if necessary. Payment for the stay will be required at the time of pick-up. In the event of an emergency, we can take your dog to the Hôpital Vétérinaire Rive-Sud (Brossard), and your emergency contact can join us there.

HEALTH

If your dog has any current or past health issues, please let us know prior to your stay. Talk to your veterinarian and have a credit card on file just in case. If your dog requires surgery, allow sufficient healing time before booking a kennel stay. (Minimum 2 weeks).

RISK / INJURY / ILLNESS

Despite our best efforts, there is always a risk of illness or injury at the kennel. Safety is our first priority. We are not responsible for any illnesses or injuries your dog suffers while with us. You can request that your dog spend time alone outside with us if you would like to further reduce the risk of injury. In the event of illness or injury requiring the dog to be sent to the veterinarian, the emergency contact person will be asked to come pick up the dog immediately. Payment for the stay may be requested.

VACCINES

Vaccines must always be up to date. Rabies, Leptospirosis, DHPP, Bordetella (kennel cough vaccine) must have been administered within the last 12 months at least. Once your dog has been vaccinated, please wait 7 days before bringing him to the kennel.

It is the owners' responsibility to keep their dog's vaccinations up to date. We reserve the right to request proof of vaccination at any time. A dog may be refused entry at any time if vaccinations are not up to date, proof is not provided or is insufficient.

PERSONAL EFFECTS

We are not responsible for damage or loss of customer's personal belongings such as collars, leashes, beds, etc.

WHAT TO BRING?

We recommend that you only bring your dog's food and a properly fitted collar for the stay. Our kennel is fully equipped with clean bowls and Kuranda pro dog beds.

GROOMING

It is the owner's responsibility to have their dog groomed properly to allow them to do their business while remaining clean.
